JR performed at my husband's 50th birthday party. Everyone enjoyed the music and said they were relaxed and felt as though they were in the Carribbean.It was a nice change from the usual POUNDING DJ music at parties. JR played at my wedding last October 2nd and he was absolutely wonderful to work with! My wife and I had a beach wedding in Cape May, NJ and JR really was able to set the tone for our reception. I'll answer a few of your questions and then give you some more information as well.

1) Yes, I would highly recommend him.
2) Yes, everyone enjoyed the music and they were all up dancing to it as well!
3) The transaction was very clear cut and very comfortable.
4) They were there on time as scheduled and they played the exact amount of time we had agreed upon as well.

Aside from those questions, here is a little more information for you. I found JR to be very easy to work with. I emailed him frequently and he usually was able to respond back to me within 24hrs. He answered all of my one million questions:)

I am not sure exactly what set up you are having for your party...but, we had 2 steel pan players, background music, and NO vocals. This was perfect for the mood we were looking for. He asked if there was any specific music we wanted and we had asked that there be some Bob Marley songs and Peter Tosh songs in his sets because they would be familiar to people. Aside from that, he played great rhythms that got everyone out of their seats and dancing...my grandmother is 85 years old, on oxygen, and even she was up dancing!

So, long and short of it is, definitely go for it. His prices are fair and he is committed to giving you a solid performance. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me again at this email address.
